What is FlowStart?
FlowStart is an app for iPhone and Android that gives you one short creative task every day. You pick categories like drawing, writing, photography, music or coding, and the app tells you what to do today. That way you build a creative routine without overthinking.
How much does FlowStart cost?
FlowStart comes as a monthly or yearly plan, and pupils, students and self-learners can get a cheaper education plan. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial: cancel during that time and you pay nothing. The subscription includes all categories, up to three at once, your choice of difficulty (beginner, medium or expert) and the whole garden. There are no ads. You see the current prices in the app.
How long does a task take?
Most tasks fit into 5 to 20 minutes. They are written so you can start right away without coming up with something yourself.
Do I need any experience?
It depends on the category. Drawing, writing, photography or gratitude you can try right away. For guitar and piano you need an instrument and the first chords, for JavaScript, Python and algorithms the basics of the language. FlowStart does not teach you from scratch, it keeps you practising regularly. You pick your level for each category: beginner, medium or expert.
What is the garden about?
Every task you finish brings water for your plant. Once it blooms, you move it onto your island, which keeps growing over time. Different categories grow different plants, and if you keep going, visitors like bees and butterflies show up.
